JEG ELSKER DEG meanz I Love You =)

THE  LOVELY DANISH WEDDING!
(see video below... the sound is a bit off at the end)

After getting a bit "Lost in Translation" at the bus station,
we finally made it into the Countryside of Copenhagen,
where we were greeted with open arms by the bride and groom
and the groom's lovely family!
(and two dogs... who... yes... ate the Wedding cake!!)

Soon after hugs, and welcome drinks, we were handed tools and
PUT TO WORK!
There was a lot of work to get done before the wedding
and WE WERE IN CHARGE OF MAKING IT HAPPEN.

I peeled 5 bags of potatoes,
sewed 40 triangles to a piece of string,
and made 20 skirt thingys to hang around the place and look pretty
(Although we only ended up hanging about 5... I...AM..NOT...BITTER...)

(Siovhan found out that I was very bitter and told me she is hanging them up in her APT.)
(Holla!)

All of the Hard work was WORTH IT.
The Wedding was beyond beautiful.
And how cool it was to watch everyone eat the potatoes I peeled!!

The bridesmaids even put together a special combination of poems for Siovan and Bjork
during their ceremony which I am especially proud of.
(see the video below)

We dined, We danced, We Sang Songs,
 Shared Stories and Traditions:
What more to life is there?

The Groom's Father made a toast and said,
"You can pick your friends, but you can't pick your family"
Life is about working together and becoming family with your friends.
I think more than ever, this is happening to me this summer!

Life is not always easy,
but with Hard Work and Patience,
you can find TRUE PEACE and HAPPINESS.

oh yeah.. and
"HUMAN IS HUMAN."
(that is a quote that I said at the wedding that I thought was really deep...)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!PARTY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once the fancy part was over...
It was time to CELEBRATE!
and trust me...
the DANES KNOW HOW TO PARTY!

I started hanging out by the Cotton Candy Martini maker
(because those are my all time favorite drinks!)
There I met a local DJ  named Freddie who I convinced to get the dance party started.
Needless to say, he was awesome and
European Dance Music is probably the best dance music in the world.
ok not probably, it IS!

*We danced until the sun came up*

When we had to turn down the music and people started to turn in,
I began having the most amazing conversations as the sun began to rise.

Life is too short not to go after what you want.

Don't get sidetracked.
Be Agressive.
Keep your standards High.
Continue to have a DRIVE.

oh yeah.. and
"HUMAN IHUMAN."

The next day I left for paris.
Said goodbyes to some of the best old friends i've had
and new friends who are now fam.

TAK TAK TAK for the memories.
!SKOAL!

!!DENMARK'D!!

DENMARK
TUESDAY JULY 26

Today we arrived in **Denmark**.
We met up with the beautiful Bride and Groom!
The reason for the Season!
They graciously let us stay in their cute apt with two other bridesmaids and one brother.
*We are quite the crew*

To start the trip out right, we decided to find a Kareoke bar.
I wanted to sing Amy Winehouse (of course)
but when we got there... EVERYONE was already singing Amy!
And Everyone was GOOD!
European Kareoke bars are no Joke....
These people were Amazing.

Needless to say,
I sang Katy Perry's FIREWORK and Tore it UUUP!!!
The Danez LOVE Firework!
and I love them.

DENMARK
WEDNESDAY JULY 27

Today was the most beautiful day of the trip thus far.
We rented BIKES and pretended to be real Danes.
This city is perfect for biking.
There are bike lanes and bikes rules and barely any cars!

By bike, we were able to see the entire city.
The street art is most beautiful and has inspired me to become a tagger.
I developed a "Baller" tag.
I will post later for you devoted followerz
=)

We also found a cool looking church that encouraged us to walk all the way to the tippy top.
The view was AMAZING.
I am glad I didn't fall off.

Then we went to THE LITTLE MERMAID statue!
Being the daring tourist that I am,
I walked on the rocks.. and some seaweed and water..
and got close enough to her to TOUCH HER FIN!
***That must mean 10 years of GOOD LUCK***

To top off the night, my friend Michael begged me to go to the gay bars with him.
What happens in the gay bars stays in the gay bars

We met some amazing people.
Danced to some craazy techno music.
Got lost. Found our way back home. Ready for more adventures!

VACATION BLOG
Friday JULY 22nd 2011
<3 <3 AMSTERDAM <3 <3
THIS IS IT.
Tha Vacation of all Vacationz. I am on my way all by MYSELF to AMSTERDAM!
More like: Amster-DAAAAMN GURL!
I have packed everything I need except a phone charger... who needs a cell phone anyways... I am officially unreachable.

Before I left, I received words of wisdom from my father:
He reminded me of all the “illegal things that are not legal in the states” and advised me not to try to take anything out of the country because “I will be arrested and NEVER GET OUT. My vacation will be ruined.”
Then he said, “Have a nice trip!”
I replied, “Nice Acid trip??”
“No! Uggg....”
Watching the sunset through an airplane window is probably one of the most beautiful sites I’ve seen so far.
Minor Mishaps will not get me down.
It’s a whole new world out therrr and I am determined to find it!

FRIDAY JULY 22nd
 =( AMY WINEHOUSE DIED =(
I will never forget being in Europe and finding out real-time that one of my favorite singers has passed.
Why is Show-Biz so deathly??
I have been listening to her albums all day, and so has many shops and stores here in Glamsterdam.
Long Live! Your music has played a major part in my life!

** TUESDAY July 26th **
DENmaRK 2011

Well Glamsterdam came and went.
What happens in Glamsterdam stays in Glamsterdam.

The best part was meeting an Italian B-Boy waiter.
I knew he was a B-Boy because he had "B-BOY" tatooed on his arm.
I told him, "I'm a B- GURL!" and proceeded to breakdance in the streets
He got so excited he began to spin and flip like no othaaaa!
This drew a crowd and suddenly we had a whole crew on the streets breakin'!
The next thing I knew I was introduced to local beat-makers and peeps rappin' in Dutch.
I started to freestyle along with them and they would join in with as best english as they could.
=D

DANCE became our form of communication.
Hip Hop is the same in any language.
Here's to many more adventures to come!

MARVIN BOPPINZ SAVES THA DAY!

THE SHOW MUST GO ON:

Today was the big performance of
"MARVIN BOPPINS SAVES THE DAY"
 at Stages Theatre Summer Camp.

The theme of the camp was Mary Poppins, but the students are aloud to write their own characters and create the play themselves. I get to combine their crazy ideas into a cohesive script. Naturally, a boy wanted to play the role of Mary Poppins, so he decided to change his name to Marvin Boppins.  He really wanted to use the FLY system. I had to crush that idea right off the bat. 7 year olds and their crazy dreams...

Another boy wanted to play the PHANTOM of the OPERA; So the play became a battle between the Phantom and Marvin. Classic good verses evil.

As a calming exercise before the big performance, I had the kidz imagine they were breathing in different colors and painting pictures in their mind. I had them imagine they were doing their play perfectly and nothing messed up. Problem was, my Phantom had used his imagination to paint an elaborate Phantom of the Opera costume which he did not have. This made him very upset. So upset in fact, that he refused to perform. Even though I quickly made him a mask and cape to wear, it was not as good as his colorful imagination...

With only a few minutes until performance, I had to act fast.
I decided I WOULD PLAY THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.
THE SHOW MUST GO ON.

In a way, I suppose I also played Marvin Boppins....
Marvin "Mahler Baller" Boppins indeed saved the day =)

*~~ *~~~ HIPPI GURL~~*~~~*

A Bullying Tale

The other day I was at the MALL OF AMERICA riding the rides.
I get a little excited on the Bumper Cars;
Laugh/Screaming, "YOU'RE GOIN' DOWN!" to every car I hit.

One youngin'z tongue was bright pink, so I yelled, "PINK TONGUE!
You're Goin' Down!"

Pink Tongue laughed.
Her SiSter DID NOT.

Pink Tongue's sister drove up from behind and side swiped me.
"No YOU're goin' down HIPPY GIRL!" she hollered.

Still an innocent game of Bumper Cars, right?
WRONG

When the ride was over, Pink Tongue's sister walked right up to me
and gave me a big SHOVE shouting,
"HIPPY GIRL!"

Woah... I thought...
 she was really into it.

"YA HIPPY!" She said with another shove.
These shoves were HARD.

After three or four shoves, her mom saved me from the awkwardness.

To all you HIPPY HATERS out there:
Please don't shove us. We do not shove back.
